Mumbai did not receive much rain overnight on Tuesday though there was heavy downpour in the city and suburbs on Monday evening, as per an update of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The Harbour Line track, on which services were suspended on Monday night between the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Mankhurd due to waterlogging at Wadala, was operationalised at 4.30 am on Tuesday after the water receded, a Central Railway spokesperson said.

Central Railway has announced to commence the work at midnight on May 30 to facilitate platform extension and widening projects at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in south Mumbai and Thane station.
There will be a break of 63 hours on Mumbai local - 930 local trains will be cancelled, see complete details in this video.
Starting from Friday to Sunday (May 31 to June 2), due to this mega block, 72 Mail Express trains and 956 suburban train services have been cancelled. Moreover, the routes of many trains have also been changed. The mega block work will start from today mid-night and finish on Sunday at 3.30 PM.

A trolley from one of the coaches of a CSMT-bound local train from Panvel derailed as it pulled into platform number 2 around 11.35 am, as per the official. The derailment of the coach, however, disrupted local train services on the Harbour Line, and as a result, CSMT-bound trains were terminated at Masjid station, the official said.
