Mumbai suburban trains cancelled: Railways cancels 2525 train services from October 26 till November 5 — Check details

2525 Mumbai suburban services to remain canceled: The Western Railways has informed that work on the sixth line between Khar and Goregaon station on Mumbai suburban section of Western Railway is on in full swing. As per the official release, construction on the 8.8 km long additional line is progressing rapidly. Furthermore, Western Railways has said that the project will benefit the commuters, especially in Mumbai suburban section and improve the punctuality of trains. And it will also help increase additional train services in the near future.

According to a press release issued, the block has been on since October 7, 2023. The block has been carefully planned so that there is minimal disturbance to rail traffic, it said, and added that non-interlocking work will commence from October 26 or 27, 2023, and continue till November 5, 2023, due to which some suburban trains will remain suspended.

As a result, Western Railways has stated that around 2525 services will remain canceled between October 27 and November 6, 2023.

Earlier, the Western Railways had informed that a Mega Block will be carried out over the Mumbai suburban section due to the non-interlocking work being undertaken in connection with the work of construction of sixth line between Khar and Goregaon. Due to this, Western Railways has announced that several trains will be cancelled, partially cancelled, short terminated or short originate and rescheduled from October 26 to November 7.
