Mumbai Rains Today: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, according to which, heavy rains are expected in the metropolitan city till June 21. The possibility of moderate to heavy rain in expected today (Thursday, June 20, 2024). The maximum and minimum temperatures in Mumbai can be around 30 and 25 degrees Celsius. Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai, in a post of June 19, had also predicted moderate to heavy rains in the city and its suburbs. So far, there is no news of trains being affected due to rains in Mumbai, but Central Line trains are running late by 20 minutes due to track sharing. In a tweet on June 19, the Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai, said that local forecast for Mumbai city and suburbs for the next 24 hours will be cloudy sky with possibility of moderate to heavy rain in city and suburbs. It said that the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 30°C and 25°C.

Trains at Central Line running late
Mumbai's suburban train network of the Central line is facing delays of 15-20 minutes due to track sharing. However, there is no news of trains getting late or cancelled due to rains in Mumbai. Sr DOM Coaching, Mumbai-CR, has issued a public apology for the inconvenience caused to people.
Cause for Mumbai train delay
The primary cause of the train delay on the Central LIne in Mumbai is the bunching of trains as many trains are running closer. Along with that, express trains are sharing suburban track, causing further delay of trains.
Western Railways update for Mumbai local
In a tweet, Western Railway says that trains are running 20-25 minutes late on the Virar-Dhanau section.
