DMRC launches bike taxi service from 12 metro stations to enhance last-mile connectivity

The service will operate between 8 am and 9 pm, with 50 SHERYDS and 150 RYDR bikes available within a 3-5 km radius from these stations. Over the next month, the service will expand to more than 100 stations, eventually covering all 250 metro stations, with a fleet of around 1,000 SHERYDS and 1,000 RYDR bikes.

Currently, Delhi Metro single journey tickets may only be ordered on the day of travel and are valid for the same day. With this feature, DMRC-IRCTC QR code-based tickets will be synced with Indian Railways' Advance Reservation Period (ARP), allowing customers to buy Metro tickets up to 120 days in advance. Furthermore, Metro tickets will be valid for a single journey for four days, beginning the day before the DMRC journey date, continuing through the travel day, and ending two days later.
