As the number of COVID-19 cases decline in the country, the reporting of a new disease has been alarming for the citizens. A 34-year-old COVID-19 survivor was diagnosed with green fungus infection in Madhya Pradesh's Indore and shifted to Mumbai by air ambulance for treatment.

The Tamil Nadu Government on Friday announced the extension of lockdown in the state with more relaxations till June 21. The state government has allowed government-run Tasmac shops to operate between 10 am and 5 pm in 27 districts.
The work done by the BMC to prevent the spread of Covid 19 is being positively acknowledged from time to time at the state, national and global levels. In this regard, representatives of the Delhi State Government recently paid a study visit to Mumbai.
The state government has allowed relaxations in the lockdown restrictions, except for 11 districts where the positivity rate is more than 15 per cent. In these districts, there will be complete lockdown till June 21, 2021.

Comprehensive guidelines have been issued by the central government for the management and treatment of Covid-19 among children below 18 years of age. As per the guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Health Ministry the use of Remdesivir, an emergency use authorisation drug has not been recommended.
On Wednesday, the Jharkhand government announced a complete lockdown from June 12, 2021, starting from 5 PM till June 14, 2021, until 6 AM in order to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Only the essential services have been exempted from this order.
