Petrol, diesel prices today July 10: Fuel rates HIKED again—Check prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai

There is no let down in rising fuel prices even as Petrol rates crossed Rs 100-mark in all metro cities and diesel is on the brink of breaching the psychological barrier in Mumbai soon. The domestic oil marketing companies had on Friday kept the rates unchanged after consecutive hikes on Wednesday and Thursday. However, the relief was short-lived as the domestic oil marketing companies have once again increased the prices on Saturday, July 10, showed Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) website. As per IOCL, the prices of petrol went up by 30-39 paise and diesel by 24to 32 paise in the four metro cities. Fuel rates are revised on daily basis and effected at 6 am daily. Petrol and diesel prices also vary from state to state, depending on the incidence of local taxes such as value-added tax (VAT) and freight charges.

Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai on July 10, 2021 (Rates as per IOCL website) 

DELHI – Petrol: Rs 100.91 | Diesel: Rs 89.88    

MUMBAI - Petrol: Rs 106.93 | Diesel: Rs 97.46  

KOLKATA - Petrol: Rs 101.01 and Diesel: Rs 92.97 

CHENNAI – Petrol: Rs 101.67, while Diesel Price: Rs 94.39 

Currently, petrol being sold for Rs 100 and above in select cities and towns of more than 15 states and UTs now. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bihar, Punjab and Ladakh are the states and UTs that are selling petrol above Rs 100.
