On Friday, crude oil prices in futures trading fell by 0.37 percent to Rs 6,398 per barrel, as traders reduced their positions due to weak spot demand. The August delivery contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange dropped by Rs24 or 0.37 percent, closing at Rs 6,398 per barrel, with a trading volume of 10,346 lots.

Internationally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil decreased by 0.09 percent, settling at $76.12 per barrel, while Brent crude saw a 0.14 percent decline, trading at $79.05 per barrel.
