The IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

This years's IPL Opening Ceremony show will begin at 6PM on March 31 (Friday). The Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings match will begin right after the opening ceremony ends, likely by 7.30PM.

IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony Tickets

The tickets for the  IPL 16 opening ceremony are available on Paytm Insider and Book My Show mobile applications. Tickets bought through these applications will be delivered to the buyers about two to three days before the match. IPL 2023 tickets are available at a cost between Rs 800 and Rs 10,000. 

Fans can also buy IPL 2023 tickets at the box offices at stadium/venue. 

Who is playing first match of IPL 2023?

Led by Hardik Pandya, defending champions and home team - Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on MS Dhoni's men - four-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

A total of 10 teams will vie for the shining Indian Premier League trophy this year. The teams are Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

IPL matches will be played at 12 venues this year.
