It was the same match during which CSK’s ace player Ben Stokes had to sit out of the match due to an ankle injury.
Just a day before their match, Delhi Capitals pacer Khaleel Ahmed suffered a hamstring injury in the game against Rajasthan Royals. He remains a doubtful starter in Delhi’s home match against Mumbai Indians today.
Mumbai Indians bowler Jofra Archer also missed his game against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday. Mumbai coach Mark Boucher said that the bowler was recuperating from a ‘little niggle’.
While Chahar’s injury’s extent is yet to be known, Stokes is expected to miss one week of action. They are highly expensive signings for their team with Stokes earning Rs 16.25 crore and Chahar getting Rs 14 crore for the IPL 2023 season.
The duo joined the long list of players who are missing action this IPL 2023 season due to different injuries.
Zee Biz takes you through the list of some prominent players who are missing out on action due to injuries.

Josh Hazlewood, Reece Topley, Rajat Patidar, Will Jacks (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

Jasprit Bumrah, Jhye Richardson (Mumbai Indians)
Even before they started their campaign in IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians suffered a big jolt as their star performer Jusprit Bumrah suffered a back stress fracture.
The bowler underwent back surgery in New Zealand, but his IPL season was over without a match.
If Bumrah’s setback was not enough, Mumbai got another bad news when its Australian pacer Jhye Richardson suffered a left hamstring injury.

Being the skipper and a classy batsman, he was a pillar for Delhi Capitals, and his absence is being felt throughout the tournament as the team is yet to score a victory.
Jonny Bairstow (Punjab Kings)
Just a week before the tournament, Punjab Kings got the news that their star batsman Jonny Bairstow would miss IPL 2023 as he was nursing an injury.
