NSE tightens listing rules for SME platform
Companies must have an operating profit of Rs 1 crore in two out of the last three years. Promoters cannot sell more than 20% of the issue size in an Offer for Sale (OFS).
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has implemented stricter norms for companies listing on its SME platform, following the SEBI board's decisions.
Companies must have an operating profit of Rs 1 crore in two out of the last three years. Promoters cannot sell more than 20% of the issue size in an Offer for Sale (OFS).
Selling shareholders are limited to divesting a maximum of 50% of their shares. SME IPOs cannot be launched solely for repaying the debt of the promoter group.
These changes aim to enhance compliance and investor protection in the SME segment.
