Lok Sabha Elections Phase 5 voting latest news update: Voters queued up in large numbers at the polling booths before 7 am in Mumbai on May 20 as the coastal city went into polls amid Phase 5 of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Phase 5 covers 49 Lok Sabha seats in six states and two Union territories (UTs), including 14 in Uttar Pradesh, 13 in Maharashtra, seven in West Bengal, and five in Bihar. Almost nine crore eligible voters are set to the fate of 695 candidates under Phase 5. Some of the key contestants in the fifth phase include Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Piyush Goyal, Ujjwal Nikam and Karan Bhushan Singh.
