PM-KISAN Scheme: Here’s how farmers can check eligibility status, complete KYC formalities online

PM Kisan Samman (PM-KISAN) Scheme 17th Installment Payment Latest News Update: As the Narendra Modi 3.0 government prepares to roll out the 17th Rs 2,000 instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme to about 9.3 crore farmers on Tuesday, June 18, ensuring eligibility and completing KYC formalities have become paramount. The PM Kisan scheme - also known as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana - is the Narendra Modi government’s flagship programme aimed at providing financial support to the tune of Rs 6,000 to eligible farmers each year in three equal instalments.

Under this flagship initiative, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually in three instalments directly credited to their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism. However, being listed as a beneficiary is essential to receive the Rs 2,000 instalment due on June 18.

PM Narendra Modi, who took office for a third straight term last week, is scheduled to release the 17th instalment, amounting to about Rs 20,000 crore, under the PM Kisan scheme, from Varanasi on June 18. Read more on PM-Kisan scheme here

Now, is there a way for eligible farmer families to check their names in the government's list of beneficiaries? Yes. Eligible farmers are also required to complete KYC-related modalities to ensure receiving the Rs 2,000 payment. Here are all the details:

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme | How to check name on the list of beneficiaries: 

1. Go to the PM Kisan Yojana's official website, pmkisan.gov.in 

2. Find and click on the 'Beneficiary Status' tab on the homepage 

3. Choose one of the three options: Aadhaar number, account number, or mobile number

4. Click on 'Get Data' after selecting your preferred option 

5. Check if your name is on the list of beneficiaries displayed 

PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana | How to perform e-KYC

1. Download the PM KISAN mobile app on your phone 

2. Use the app to complete your e-KYC easily from home using face authentication

3. Alternatively, you can visit a Kisan Service Centre for e-KYC through biometric authentication
