PM Modi to release 17th installment of PM Kisan scheme on Tuesday; here's how to check beneficiary status online and other key details

PM Kisan 17th installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Varanasi on June 18, 2024, for the release of the 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to the farmers. The event will be organised by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in coordination with the government of Uttar Pradesh. Further, the 17th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, amounting to more than Rs 20,000 crore, will be disbursed to over 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers by PM Modi from Varanasi.

Who is eligible for the 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme?

All landholding farmers' families, which have cultivable landholding in their names are eligible to get benefits under the scheme.

How to check the beneficiary status online for the 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme?

Step 1: Go to the official PM-Kisan portal at pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, locate the 'Farmers Corner' section.

Step 3: Click on the 'Beneficiary Status' option.

Step 4: Enter the required details such as Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number.

Step 5: Click on 'Get Report.'

Step 6: The system will display the current status of your application and payments. You can see details like the amount credited, installment number, and payment date.

How to complete KYC formalities for the 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi?

Step 1: Go to the official PM-Kisan portal at pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: In the 'Farmers Corner' section, click on the 'eKYC' option.

Step 3: Enter Aadhaar details and click on 'Search.'

Step 4: If your Aadhaar is linked to your mobile number, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Enter the OTP to complete the eKYC process.

Alternative Method for eKYC

If you are unable to complete the eKYC process online, you can visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or the local agriculture office. Bring the following documents:

>> Bank passbook

>> Mobile number

How can new farmers register themselves under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme?

Step 1: Visit the official PM-Kisan portal at pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on new farmers registration. 

Step 3: Fill the required information and click on Get OTP 

Step 4: Complete the registration form by entering your personal details such as name, address, contact information, etc.

Step 5: After filling in all the required details, review the information carefully, then click on the "Submit" or "Register" button to submit your registration form.

Step 6: Upon successful submission, you will receive an acknowledgment or reference number for your registration. Note down this reference number for future correspondence.

Lastly, the submitted registration form will undergo verification by the concerned authorities. One can periodically check the status of their registration and eligibility for PM-Kisan benefits through the "Beneficiary Status" option on the PM-Kisan portal.
