India reported 159,632 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, as the Omicron variant of the coronavirus continues to spread rapidly in the country, nudging several state governments to impose fresh restrictions.
The Government of Maharashtra has issued an order on January 8, 2022 proposing certain restrictions across various sectors. The restrictions in Maharashtra will come into effect from January 10, 2022 as per the order.
While addressing a press conference on Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed that there is no plan to impose lockdown as of now.
