Xiaomi introduces Red variant Mi A1 in India; checkout features

With just few days are left for new year's arrival, the China-based Xiaomi has launched a special edition of Mi A1 smartphone in Red variant, priced at Rs 13,999, to cash in on the occasion.
Xiaomi introduced this special edition stating on its website, "New Year, New Color". This Red variant will be available for limited time and will go on for sale from December 20, 2017 on its official website Mi.com and e-commerce portal Flipkart.
The special edition phone will be available on all Mi Home stores, Mi Preferred Partner stores, and retail partner stores.
The new Xiaomi Mi A1 special edition Red variant having dual sim, comes with a a 5.5-inch IPS display with full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. It runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC having 4GB RAM.
The new device will have an internal storage of 64GB which can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Also, the phone has a dual camera set up offering 2X optical zoom.
On the back of Mi A1 special edition, it will showcase two 12-megapixel image sensors - one with having a wide-angle, f/2.2 lens and in 1.25-micron pixel sensor and the other one with an f/2.6 aperture telephoto lens.
In addition, there is a 5-megapixel camera sensor on the front with a real-time beautification mode.
Connectivity services like 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack is available on this phone. Battery power is also good at 3080mAh.
Thus, Xiaomi now has four variants available in its Mi A1 phones namely - red, black, gold and rose gold.
Xiaomi will also be holding a No.1 Fan sale between December 20 and December 21, wherein, it will also offer Redmi 5A and Redmi Y1 at discounted price.
