Redmi Watch 5 Active launch date in India announced - Check details

Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date for its upcoming smartwatch Redmi Watch 5 Active in India, via a post. According to the post Xiaomi will launch the Watch 5 Active on August 27.

Xiaomi is planning to launch multiple products in the wearable devices segment in India starting with Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Active. while the company has not yet announced the price of the Redmi Watch 5 Active we can expect it to be in the budget segment according to leaks and rumours.

The Redmi Watch 5 Active will be launched in India on August 27, according to a landing page for the upcoming wearable device on the company's website that appears to confirm that it will be available in at least two colorways. 

Features of Redmi Watch 5 Active-: 

1. Display
Redmi announced that the Watch 5 Active will arrive with a slightly larger display than its predecessor. The watch will feature a 2.0-inch display, which is bigger than its predecessor.  

2. Battery
According to some leaks Watch 5 Active will be offering more days of battery backup compared to the Watch 3 Active model on a single charge. As per the official post, the Watch 5 Active will offer 18 days of battery life 

3. Calling
The company says that the Redmi Watch 5 Active will arrive with support for a new Clear+ Calling feature that appears to be aimed at users who travel in noisy environments. 

4. Software
The upcoming Redmi Watch 5 Active will feature Xiaomi's HyperOS skin and will support voice commands via Amazon's Alexa assistant, according to the company.

5. Fitness Modes 
The company has also revealed that the fitness tracker will be capable of tracking over 140 sport modes.

6. Additional Features 
Xiaomi says that the Watch 5 Active will also come with additional features like SpO2, heart rate monitoring, stress monitoring.
