Tecno Phantom V2 Fold, Flip launch date confirmed - Here's all you need to know about these foldable smartphones

Tecno has announced the launch date for its next foldable smartphone series - the Phantom V2. According to the company, the smartphone will be launched on December 6, 2024. Tecno said that the smartphone will have a sleek design despite having the largest battery in foldable. 

"Whether it’s reliability, productivity, or entertainment, the Phantom V2 ticks all the boxes, ushering in a new era of experience with the foldable form factor," the company said. 

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer said that the Phantom V2 Fold will be the strongest fold ever. "Additionally, with the largest battery in foldable phones at 5750mAh, powered by Aircell Battery Technology, this device combines power with a sleek design for all-day usage," it added. 

The Tecno Phantom V2 Fold will come with a 7.85-inch main display and a 6.42-inch cover screen and the company claims that it will be the largest display in its class under Rs 100K.

The company is also launching the Phantom V2 Flip and it will come with several AI features.

Portable and durable, it’s ready to dominate your work, your creativity, and your life," the company said.

Tecno is launching these foldable smartphones at a time when several flagship smartphones are lined up for the launch. Some of them, like Oppo Find X8 and Realme GT 7 Pro, have already been launched. iQOO 13, One Plus 13 and others are scheduled to launch soon. 

Meanwhile, a report by International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker stated that worldwide smartphone shipments are forecast to grow 6.2 per cent year-over-year in 2024 to 1.24 billion units.
