Sony on Thursday launched a new line-up of extra bass in-car media receivers. The XAV Extra Bass series claims to offer a safer and smarter on-road experience. The five new audio receiver models are XAV-AX8000, XAV-AX7000, XAV-AX5500 XAV-3500 and XAV-1500 with Smartphone Mirroring by WebLinkTM1 Cast.

The five new audio receiver models are XAV-AX8000, XAV-AX7000, XAV-AX5500 XAV-3500 and XAV-1500 with Smartphone Mirroring by WebLinkTM1 Cast. The top models, XAV-AX8000, XAV-AX7000 and XAV-AX5500 also support Apple CarPlay, Android Auto.
Apple CarPlay integrates iPhone with the car audio’s display and controls, enabling users to make phone calls, access music, send and receive messages and get directions optimise. Meanwhile, Android Auto allows you to access Google Assistant and use voice to help with daily tasks.

The XAV-AX8000 mode comes with 8.95 anti-glare display offering a built-in, 4-channel amplifier and ergonomic design. The XAV-AX8000 is designed with aluminum key terminal, includes voice control, source selections and sound adjustments while minimizing distractions. It supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and WebLinkTM1 Cast. It is priced at Rs 33,990.
The XAV-AX7000 comes with 6.95-inch bezel-less flush surface display. It has a 100W built-in and class-D amplifier. The receiver features a 6.95-inch bezel-less, flush surface display with an anti-glare capacitive touchscreen that matches modern car interiors. It supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Smartphone Mirroring by WebLinkTM1 Cast. t is priced at Rs 31,990.
The XAV-AX5500 comes with 6.95-inch bezel-less flush Surface Display. The connectivity package includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and WebLink Cast for reliable, responsive infotainment anytime on the road. It has built-in 4-channel amplifier. t is priced at Rs 26,990.
The XAV-3500 comes with 6.95-inch display. This in-car receiver offers easy accessibility, revolutionary design and a unique audio experience with limited distractions. It claims to offer punchy sound at any volume level and the 5-volt signal offers clearer sound with less distortion when the head unit is connected to external amplifiers for future acoustic expandability. t is priced at Rs 21,990.
The XAV-1500 comes with 6.2-inch display with lighter touch operation and improved visibility. It lets you mirror your smartphone screen and connect through Bluetooth for hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming. The XAV-1500 is also rear-view camera ready with customisable guidelines enabling you to reverse safely and easily and the stress-free wake up feature to hit the road soon after the ignition is turned on. t is priced at Rs 19,990.
The new range of in-car audio devices will be available across car accessories shops and car showrooms across India.
