The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was launched by the Maharashtra government on 28 June 2024. This scheme is working towards supporting women from economically weaker sections by providing them with financial help to pursue education and other developmental opportunities. To reduce school dropouts, this scheme promotes girls' education by providing financial aid to families. Eligibility criteria
The Ladki Bahin Yojana applies to women between the ages of 21 to 65 years. The scheme provides monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500 to eligible women. The women should be the permanent resident of Maharashtra. Plus, the annual family income should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh. 

Monthly financial assistance 
Eligible women will receive Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500 every month. The Ladki Bahin Yojana primarily focuses on reducing financial barriers that prevent girls from continuing their education. It offers direct monetary support to the girls and aims to encourage them to complete their schooling and pursue higher studies.

How to apply
Step 1: Visit the official Ladki Bahin Maharashtra Portal if you meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the 'Applicant Login' option.
Ladki Bahin Yojana is a significant initiative that contributes to women empowerment by providing financial independence, health, and overall well-being to women in Maharashtra.

Step 3: A new page will appear. Select the option 'Create an Account'

Step 4: Fill in the registration form by providing all the required details, including your name, password, and address.

Step 5: After completing the form, review all the information carefully, then click Sign Up to complete the registration process.

Offline application process
To apply for the scheme offline, applicants can visit the Zilla Parishad and consult the concerned government official. They can take the application form from the official, fill it out, and submit it along with the required documents.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday said schemes like the Ladki Bahin yojana have played a major role in the Mahayuti's victory in the Maharashtra Assembly polls. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti coalition includes the Shiv Sena party (Eknath Shinde faction) and the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction). The BJP won 132 Assembly constituencies, the Shiv Sena (Shinde) bagged 57 and the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) secured 41, according to official data from the ECI website.

Thanking his voters, Ajit Pawar said, I want to thank my voters for once again giving me this responsibility. I will continue working for the development of the state for the next five years," Ajit Pawar told reporters here.

He further said, "We will not be carried away by this victory; instead, it increases our responsibility. We have to behave responsibly now. We are committed to working together for Maharashtra's development over the next five years.”
