Poco X6 Series: Pricing and Availability
Although Poco has not disclosed detailed information, industry speculation suggests that the new smartphone series will include the Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro, serving as successors to the previous Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro. The base model is anticipated to draw inspiration from the Redmi Note 13 Pro, while rumors suggest that the Pro model could be a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K70e in China. The official unveiling of both devices is expected in January 2024.
Pricing details for the Poco X6 Pro are speculated to align with the Redmi K70E, which debuted in China in November 2023 at a starting price of CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs 23,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant.
While the Redmi K70e boasts a rapid 90W charging capability, the POCO X6 Pro is expected to offer a slightly lower 67W charging speed for the Indian market. However, aside from this regional adjustment, the POCO X6 Pro is poised to maintain identical specifications to its Redmi counterpart.
Poco X6 Series: Features
Drawing inspiration from the Redmi K70e, the POCO X6 Pro is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2,712 x 1,220 pixels). The display will offer a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and various enhancements such as 1,920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, and DCI-P3 colour gamut support.
The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, complemented by the Mali G615 GPU. It will be available in configurations of 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB, utilizing UFS 4.0 technology. The operating system will run on HyperOS, based on Android 14.
Camera specifications are rumoured to include a 64-megapixel primary rear camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and dual-tone LED flash. For selfies, the POCO X6 Pro is expected to feature a 16 MP front camera.
Powering the device will be a robust 5,500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Additional features reportedly encompass stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC, GPS, IR Blaster, and Wi-Fi 6 support. The phone has also received Hi-Res Audio certification and Hi-Res Wireless Certification.
