Poco M6 Plus Review: Chinese smartphone manufacturer Poco has launched its new smartphone in India: the Poco M6 Plus. Featuring a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, the device offers a seamless multimedia experience, along with smooth functioning, being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE SoC. Let’s take a quick look at the features and updates the Poco M6 Plus brings to the table.
The Poco M6 Plus features a sturdy design with sharp edges and is available in three colour options, including Ice Silver, Graphite Black, and Misty Lavender. The hole-punch cutout at the front enhances the display’s aesthetics.
Boasting a 6.79-inch FHD+ with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, the Poco M6 Plus is a decent multimedia-consuming device. It supports a peak brightness up to 550 nits, which makes it capable to be used in outdoor settings. It comes with Widevine L1 certification, further elevating the content viewing experience.

The device has a dual camera setup, including a 108MP primary shooter complemented by a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, there’s a 13MP camera. During daylight, the camera setup provides satisfactory outputs, if not the best. The primary sensor stands out, while the selfie shooter captures manageable skin tones.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE SoC, the Poco M6 Plus is a decent performer, particularly considering the segment it belongs to. It easily undertakes activities like browsing social media, watching content on YouTube, Netflix, or other platforms, or playing light games. It comes in two storage and RAM configurations: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB.
It runs on HyperOS based on Android 14. There are some pre-installed apps, which is a typical characteristic of this segment.
The Poco M6 Plus packs a 5,030mAh battery, a pleasant addition in this price range. The battery easily lasts a day for moderate users once fully charged. It supports 33W charging speed, taking at least an hour to fully charge the battery, and you get the charger in the box.
Overall, the Poco M6 Plus is an allrounder device, ticking boxes that are indispensable even for a budget smartphone. If you’re not overly concerned about the absence of stereo speakers or pre-installed third-party apps and are considerate of the segment, the Poco M6 Plus is a feasible choice.
