iQOO 9 now available in Phoenix Orange color: Check price, specifications and more

Smartphone brand iQOO on Tuesday announced the launch of all-new avatar of iQOO 9 in Phoenix (Orange) color option. According to the company, the rear panel of the smartphone is produced by a geometric craft on Frosty AG Glass that changes color when exposed to sunlight and UV rays.

Priced at Rs 42,990 (8GB+128GB) and Rs 46,990 (12GB+256GB), iQOO 9’s new color variant will be available for purchase on Amazon.in and iQOO e-store starting today.

"The new vibrant color of iQOO 9 is produced by a geometric craft on Frosty AG Glass. It changes color when exposed to sunlight and other sources of artificial UV rays and transforms into different colors," the company said in a statement.

"The UV Rays of Sunshine changes the internal structure of glass molecules resulting in changing the existing color to Phoenix (Orange) color variant. Ever used a stencil, try using it on the iQOO 9 to create a unique design on the back cover of the smartphone," the brand further added.

Packed with the powerful Snapdragon 888+ 5G Mobile Platform, 120W FlashCharge, and 48MP Gimbal Camera System; the flagship smartphone—iQOO 9 offers an array of bar-raising performance technologies.

The iQOO 9 features a 6.56-inch FHD+ 10-bit AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling and 1000Hz instant touch. The phone also gets an optical in-display fingerprint scanner but a flat screen this time.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC and also gets the IDC chip along with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is also a dual X-axis linear vibration motor and dual stereo speakers, along with the in-display monster touch buttons for gaming. The iQOO 9 also has 8 5G bands.

The smartphone comes with triple camera setup also with a 48MP IMX598 main gimbal camera, along with a 13MP 120-degree ultrawide/macro camera and a 13MP portrait camera with 2X optical zoom.

 There is a 16MP front camera as well. it comes with a 4,350mAh battery and 120W fast charging support. The phone comes out of the box with Android 12-based FunTouchOS 12 and will get two years of system updates.
