WhatsApp picture-in-picture mode for iOS: Apple users can now multitask during video call

With the aim to let people multitask during video calls, WhatsApp has introduced a new picture-in-picture mode for all iOS users. In another word, your video will not be paused if you start doing something else during the call.

This feature is similar to Apple's implementation of PiP mode for Facetime. The new feature introduced by the instant messaging app will help users to switch to other apps even when they are on a video call.

WhatsApp users, until now, had the option of multitasking when on a video call but the video itself was paused in the background.

It is worth mentioning that the picture-in-picture mode for video calls is still being rolled out and therefore users will have to wait for some days before it is available on their device. 

WhatsApp's Kept Messages feature

Recently, the Meta-owned instant messaging app introduced a new way to save disappearing messages. The feature is really helpful for those who want to have permanent access to texts.

The Kept Messages options let you save messages even if someone has turned on the 'disappearing messages' feature in the chat. Once selected, this will prevent the message from disappearing even after the set timer. 

WhatsApp adds new stickers for avatar pack on iOS, Android

Meta-owned WhatsApp has added some new stickers to its avatar sticker pack for Android and iOS, following its announcement of the ability to create personalised avatars.

In spite of the same number of stickers in the avatar pack, the changes made have given it more personality and depth by redesigning and replacing some stickers in order to improve their visual appeal and reflect the diverse range of feelings and expressions users wish to convey, reports WABetaInfo.
