WhatsApp now allows users to preview voice messages: Here's how

The Meta-owned famous instant messaging platform WhatsApp on Tuesday announced the rollout of an ability to let you preview your voice messages before sending them to your contacts. The messaging platform took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to announce this new update.

"They’re not mistakes, they’re rehearsals. Now you can preview your voice messages before you hit send," WhatsApp wrote on Twitter. The update will help users to listen to their voice message and see if the audio is fine for sharing over the instant messaging app. If it's not, they can cancel the voice message and record it again for sharing.

The voice message preview feature on WhatsApp works with both individual and group chats. Also, it has been released for all platforms, including Android and iOS as well as Web and desktops.

Here's how :

You need to touch the microphone button in a WhatsApp chat and slide it up to lock hands-free recording.

It will bring an interface where you will see a stop button and a trash can.

You can tap the stop button and then hit the play button to listen to your voice message before sharing it with the recipient.

WhatsApp also lets you move to a particular part of the audio by tapping on the seek bar.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also working on the ability to delete any message in groups for everyone if you're a group admin. "WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.1.1: what’s new? WhatsApp was planning to remove any limitation about message revoking, but their new plans implemented on the WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2147.4 update reveal that WhatsApp will allow deleting messages for everyone within 7 days and 8 minutes.
