How to use WhatsApp multi-device support on iOS, Android; know these steps
To enable multi-device support, users need to join the multi-device beta.
The Facebook-owned famous instant messaging application WhatsApp recently released multi-device support for all users on iOS and Android. This will enable people to use WhatsApp on up to four linked devices without users needing to be connected via a smartphone.

To enable multi-device support, users need to join the multi-device beta. Launch WhatsApp on iPhone, then select Settings -> Linked Devices. Select Multi-Device Beta, then tap Join Beta. Once that's done, you'll be able to start linking devices. Please follow similar steps for Android smartphones.
After your devices are linked, messages can be sent and received using the WhatsApp desktop app or web-based service and your phone will no longer need to stay online, although it's not currently possible to delete messages or conversation threads from a linked device.
Please note that can't message or call from web, desktop, or Portal to users who have an outdated version of WhatsApp on their phone, and you can only have one phone connected to your WhatsApp account at one time. Personal calls and messages remain end-to-end encrypted across devices.
Meanwhile, the messaging platform has rolled out features for specific beta testers that haven't received them in previous updates: a new Contact Info UI, Default Message Timer, 24 hours and 90 days, multi-device changes.
WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote: "A People that didn't receive some features like the new contact info UI or multi-device changes, don't worry: more activations will be rolled out soon. WhatsApp has just started to release those features for more beta testers today."
