PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan) is a popular scheme run by the Central government, targeting at providing financial aid to farmers. The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana are provided with three instalments of Rs 2000 each (totaling Rs 6000) in a financial year. More than 11 crore farmers have joined this scheme. As of date, 16 installments have been transferred to farmer beneficiaries with the latest one released today (February 28, Wednesday).
The beneficiary farmers can check their installment status online through their mobile number. They can also check their PM Kisan beneficiary status on the official website of PM Kisan Yojana, pmkisan.gov.in, or through the toll free number-1800115526, or PM-Kisan helpline numbers- 1555261 and 011-23381092. To get the benefit of PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana, it is necessary that farmers have completed their online KYC update. Farmers can also check the PM Kisan beneficiary list village wise.
Though scores of farmers apply for PM Kisan Yojana, not all of them get benefits under the scheme. Rather, there are some conditions to be met to become eligible for PM Kisan installments. There is a process to decide whose name will be included in the list of beneficiaries. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: How are farmers shortlisted?
The responsibility of identifying farmer families eligible for benefits under PM Kisan Yojana rests on state/UT governments.
Once the farmer applies for the PM Kisan scheme, the land ownership system or land records in different states and union territories are used to identify the beneficiaries.
Once they are identified, the required documents are matched. If everything is correct as per rules, the farmer family gets selected for the annual instalment of Rs 6000.
After this, the state/UT governments upload the details of the farmer's family on the PM-Kisan portal.
Once the application is made, the state/UT governments have the right to investigate it.
When the provided information is found to be correct, one is considered eligible for benefits under PM Kisan Yojana.

Aadhaar number (in states where there has been a delay in making Aadhaar card and many farmers have not received it, there is an alternative system)

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: What will happen if there is a mistake in the application?
If there is some mistake in the information provided by farmers, the installment stops.
The mistake could be in the form of Aadhaar number, bank account number, name or address.
You can also correct these mistake by visiting PM Kisan's website, pmkisan.gov.in. The instalment that remains pending will also be reimbursed later.
