7th Pay Commission latest news today: Big relief for thousands of officers, likely to get promotion plus salary hike

7th Pay Commission latest news today: It seems that the Central Government is in the mood to give festival bonanza to the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA) Officers as well. The Central Government has requested them to provide the next date for their data of promotion (DoP) or date of increment (DNI). The PCDA Officers have been asked to reply by 25th of August. To help PCDA Officers, the Central Government has given them an options calculator as well. Option calculator will help them take the right decision at the right time. Once the increment is given, the monthly salary of the PCDA Officers would go northward by at least Rs 4,000. What the Central Government has been asking from the PCDA officers is to choose DoP or DNI.

Speaking on the difference between DoP and DNI, Harishankar Tiwari, General  Secretary, All India Audit and Accounts Association said, "PCDA officers have to choose DoP or DNI because it's a regular process. Those officers who were left out of the in previous salary hike, this option has been made available for them. Probably, PCDA Officers are also among them." Tiwari said that the meaning of this option is to choose whether PCDA Officers want salary hike from the day they were promoted. As per the PCDA notification (a copy of it with the Zee Business), the officers have been asked to respond immediately to the notification and choose either DoP or DNI.

This notification is for those PCDA Officers who have been promoted between 1st January 2016 to 25th February 2019. The PCDA Officers had six month time to make the center know about their choice, which lapsed 25th August 2019. As per the notification, PCDA Officers have to make their choice known to the center via e-mail. The e-mail address on which the choice has to be made known is generalquery-pcdaopune@nic.in. After sending the mail, the officers are needed to send the hard copy of the mail to PCDA Pune office.
