These reports on social media about central government employees started circulating after the Centre decided to delay the DA hike payment till June 2021 as they needed funds to continue fight against Coronavirus spread. Once this announcement was made in this regard, rumours started to circulate about Centre planning to cut other allowances of the central government employees as well. That too was proved to be fake news by the PIB Fact Check team.
