7th Pay Commission latest news: The Tata Memorial Center (TMC) affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute has issued notification for the post of Assistant Professor. The position offered is of full time in nature and the selected candidates will be appointed in the Level-12 of the 7th CPC Pay matrix. interested and eligible candidates are advised to log in at the official website of the TMC — tmc.gov.in — to find out the application form and eligibility details. The last date for receipt of the application is 24th August 2020.

7th CPC Pay Scale

After the successful completion of the recruitment process, the selected candidate will be appointed at Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati in Level-12 grade. The applicant will be given a monthly pay scale of Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200. In addition to pay, other allowances including DA, HRA, TA etc. will be admissible as per the prevailing rules of TMC.

Age Limit

An applicant applying for the post of Assistant Professor at the TMC should not be more than 45 years, if he or she belongs to the general category. For, sC or ST applicants, there will be 5 year upper age relaxation while for the OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

Educational qualification, experience required from applicants

An applicant applying for the post of Assistant Professor at TMC must have Ph.D. in (Epidemiology / Public Health / Statistics / Health Sciences /Life Sciences / Biotechnology) OR Postgraduate M.D. Plus MPH from a recognized University with 3 years experience in Epidemiological OR Population Research. Research experience in Cancer Epidemiology or Cancer Prevention or Cancer Registry is desirable.
