7th Pay Commission latest news: After the circulation of rumours on social media about salary cut plans of the central government employees, government has come forward to clear the matter. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh who handles the DoPT (Department of Personal Training) affairs tweeted about the matter and said that the social media buzz is a fake news. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check team too got into action and found that there is no such plan nor is there any proposal pending. So, the news of a salary cut of the central government employees is completely fake and baseless.
Refuting the buzz about central government employees' salary cut, Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS (I) at the PMO tweeted, "Please ignore the FAKE NEWS being circulated in a section of media. There is no proposal by the Government to carry out deduction in the salary of its employees."

The PIB Fact Check team also tweeted about the same from its official Twitter handle, "There is no proposal under consideration of Government for any cut in their salaries."
This announcement by the Narendra Modi government is a big relief for the central government employees as they will continue to get their monthly salary as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission (7th CPC).

This is not the first time that central government had to bust social media buzz about changes in the central government employees 7th Pay Commission salaries and allowances. Earlier, it refuted some reports circulating on various social media platforms that central government is going to reduce various allowances of the central government employees and in such a case staffers won't be able to avail LTC, Travel Allowance, medical ebenfits, etc. The GoI also refuted the social media buzz that it is going to change the working hours of central government employees.
While refuting such social media buzz, the GoI has been repeatedly asking the central government employees that as and when there will be any decision, it will definitely let them know through proper channels. So, there is no need for the central government employees to rely on social media platforms.
