7th Pay Commission: Each passing day of 2019 is bringing some or the other development for central and state government employees regarding pay hike and implementation of 7th Pay Commission report recommendations. Most of the news is very positive. Now, in one of the biggest poll announcements, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah today said in West Bengal's Malda that if voted to power in the state, the saffron party will implement 7th pay commission in the state. BJP chief was in the state to address a rally.
"While people of other states are getting benefits of the 7th Pay Commission, West Bengal is still stuck with the 5th Pay Commission. I assure the people of Bengal that once BJP comes to power in the state, we will implement the 7th Pay Commission in the very first cabinet meeting," said Amit Shah while addressing a rally in Malda. The announcement would certainly cheer up the government employees on whose wish-list, this demand would be on top.

There are over 8 lakh employees working for the West Bengal government. The employees have been demanding a pay hike for the past many years. "I assure that 7th pay commission will be implemented in West Bengal," said Amit Shah.
Check out the tweet below about the 7th pay commission announcement by BJP chief Amit Shah:
Earlier, a hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) came into effect from January 1 for these WB employees. The hike was notified by the West Bengal government in June 2018. The government has increased the DA to 125% from 100% earlier. The state government had formed a panel to look into pay revision and implementation of the sixth pay commission for the employees. The tenure of the Sixth Pay Commission panel was slated to expire in November last year. However, the government had extended the panel's tenure by another six months. The panel was formed on November 27, 2015. The implementation of the new pay scale under the sixth pay commission in the state would cost an additional Rs 22,000 crore to the government.
The employee unions in the state have been demanding a 7th CPC pay hike saying that most of the states have already implemented a revised salary structure for their staffers.
