Aadhaar mobile services: Aadhaar card is the most important document in India. Be it document verification, address proof, getting KYC done and availing government benefits, Aadhaar card is required everywhere and for almost every purpose these days. Almost everyone has a Aadhaar card now. But do you know that UIDAI offers you over 35 Aadhar services on your mobile phone? Yes, you can avail Aadhaar services like download eAadhaar, update status, locate Aadhaar Kendra etc. on your smartphone itself.

mAadhaar is more than an Aadhaar card in a wallet. Those having mAadhaar app can continently use it anywhere anytime within India. On one hand while the mAadhaar profile is accepted as a valid ID proof at Airports and Railway stations, on the other hand resident can use the features in the app to share their eKYC or QR code with service providers who seek Aadhaar verification of their customers before providing Aadhaar services.

However, mAadhaar does not give you the facility to update demographic details such as your Name, date of birth and Mobile number.  

A person whose Aadhaar card is linked to his/her registered mobile number can create Aadhaar profile in the mAadhaar App. Such individuals can register their profile in an App installed in any smartphone. However, the OTP will be sent to only their registered mobile.  

Aadhaar is a 12-digit identification number issued by the UIDAI (“Authority”) to the residents of India after satisfying the verification process laid down by the Authority. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident of India, may voluntarily enroll to obtain Aadhaar number. Person willing to enroll has to provide minimal demographic and biometric information during the enrolment process which is totally free of cost.
