Big achievement! Meet the five UPSC top rank holders in civil service exam, from Kanishak Kataria to Srushti Jayant Deshmukh
Kanishak Kataria, Akshat Jain, and Junaid Ahmad, the top rankers of this year's Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination, expressed gratitude to their respective families while confessing that they were taken aback by their achievements. The final ranks were announced based on the results of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2018 held by the UPSC in September-October, 2018 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-March, 2019.

The second rank holder Akshat Jain, an engineering graduate from IIT Guwahati, told PTI he was elated and one of the reasons why he appeared in the civil services examination was to serve the society. Hailing from Jaipur, Akshit's father is an IPS officer while mother is an Indian Revenue Service officer, who also motivated him to join the civil services. (Photo: ANI)
UPSC Topper: Junaid Ahmed
Junaid Ahmed, one of the toppers of UPSC exam, said Friday that now he will be able to solve people's problems directly. Ahmed was staying in Jamia's Residential Coaching Academy in 2016 till last year when he got chosen for the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). He has emerged as the third topper in the UPSC exam.
