Zero Box Office Collection day 1 total: Impressive! Shah Rukh Khan film earns Rs 24.57 cr, Saturday earning crucial
Zero box office collection day 1: Film critic and trade analysts Akshaye Rathi told zeebiz.com that the film's opening day earning is around Rs 20 crore.
Zero box office collection day 1: Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, Zero has managed to earn around Rs 24.57 crore, marking one of the highest day 1 earning for SRK.
The film has registered an average occupancy of around 50 per cent. Directed by Anand L Rai, Zero was expected to earn around Rs 30 crore on day 1. However, the actual collection has turned out much lower than expected, say trade analysts.
Film critic and trade analysts Akshaye Rathi told zeebiz.com that the film's opening day earning is around Rs 20 crore.
"Zero's day 1 net box office collection may stand around Rs 20 crore," said Rathi.
With this, the film's gross collection stands around Rs 24.57 crore.
When asked whether the Saturday's collection will be affected due to negative movie reviews, Rathi rejected the argument.
"Negative reviews may not affect the film. Its Saturday's collection will be around the first day earning. It maybe up or down by a crore or so," said Rathi.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also said that the film has earned R 20.14 crore on the first day.
"#Zero has underperformed on Day 1, despite extensive release [4380 screens] + #Christmas vacations... Sat and Sun biz extremely crucial... Fri Rs 20.14 cr. India biz," said Adarsh.

The multi-starrer film has failed to impress film critics who termed the film a letdown.
Adarsh himself has termed the film a 'Fiasco'.
"#OneWordReview… #Zero: FIASCO Rating: *½ Expected so much from this collaboration [SRK and director Aanand L Rai]… Sadly, the flawed writing - especially the second hour - takes the film downhill... EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT... #ZeroReview," he said.

Another film critic Sumit Kadel said that the movie is a 'Mammoth Let Down'.
"#Zero is a MAMMOTH LET DOWN. Ist half is decent with good doze of emotions & laughter but second half is miserable, extremely bad writing & screenplay with absolutely no logic, soul & emotional connect. AlR worst film till date. You can watch it for SRK Anushka Kat act Rating- *," said Kadel.
