Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 5: Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth-starrer 'Vettaiyan' experienced a significant dip in its box office performance on its first Monday. While the film achieved decent collections during its opening weekend, it struggled to attract audiences despite the star power of its leads. With each passing day, the film's earnings have rapidly declined; however, it still managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club within five days.

Released in theaters on Thursday, October 10, 'Vettaiyan' marks the reunion of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan on the silver screen after 33 years, as the two last shared screen space in the 1991 film Hum.

Directed and written by T.J. Gnanavel, the film has grossed Rs 5.26 crore on the fifth day (Monday) which is almost four times less than what it earned the day before i.e., Sunday. This has taken the total collection of 'Vettaiyan' to Rs 110.01 crore (India Net Collection) at the domestic box office, as per the data shared by media company Sacnilk.

According to Sacnilk's data, the film's earnings witnessed a declining pattern in its first week of release. On the opening day, it earned Rs 31.7 crore which is the highest among the five days.  However, despite this decrease, the film entered the Rs 100 crore club.
