Will Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hinduston beat his own Dangal record?
Dangal story was based on Mahavir Singh Phogat (Aamir Khan), an amateur wrestler, who fulfilled his dreams by teaching his daughters Geeta Phogat (Fatima Sana Shaikh) and Babita Kumari (Sanya Malhotra) to become first-class female wrestlers.
Dangal has the highest box office collection in India. The movie bagged collection of Rs 538.03 crore in India, with a massive Rs 1,430 crore collection in overseas market.
With this, Dangal surpassed even Baahubali 2: The Conclusion which is the most expensive movie in India.
Bahubali 2 starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah saw massive demand in India, as its collection here stood at Rs 1,416.9 crore. The movie did not see much attention from other countries, as overseas it collected Rs 379.46 crore. This means Baahabuli 2's worldwide collection stands at Rs 1796.36 crore.
Unlike Baahubali, Aamir Khan's Dangal saw massive fame overseas, due to the actor's popularity. Hence, once again one can expect magic to be created by Khan with his Thugs of Hindostan.
Surely, it would be a treat to watch to how Khan performs in Thugs of Hindostan.
