Thugs of Hindostan Box Office Collections: Aamir Khan film is a money-making machine ahead of release
Thugs of Hindostan is expected to be released across a massive number of theaters - over 4500 screens in India and across 1500 overseas screens!
Thugs of Hindostan Box office collections: Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan has turned into a money making machine for Yash Raj Films even before its release. As per reports, the film's budget was around Rs 200 crore. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif in leading roles.
So far, the film has generated a lot of hype and is being promoted aggressively. There isn't any other big release around and this will certainly boost the film's earnings especially as it is being released amid festive fervour.
According to a Mint report, YRF is expected to earn around Rs 140 crore from the film's sale of rights alone. It has reported that Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures Networks, which already are in a partnership with the YRF, will be buying sales rights of the film for around Rs 70 crore each. This will yield 70 per cent of the film's budget well before its release. It also said that the YRF may earn around Rs 12 crore from the music rights of the film. Clearly, profits will not depend on what comes in from the box office alone.

The film will also be later released in China. Film trade analysts expect Thugs of Hindostan collection to earn Rs 50 crore on Day 1 itself. If all goes according to estimates, then YRF will be looking to break-even on Day 1 itself, if it has not done so already ahead of release.
