Thugs of Hindostan Box Office Collection Day 2: Nevertheless, the negative reviews from the audiences and film critics have taken a toll on Thugs of Hindostan collection on day 2.
Thugs of Hindostan Box Office Collection Day 2: After a record seting day 1, Aamir Khan starrer has seen a fall in its collection. However, while the fall is big, it must be remembered that this is a big achievement as it is one of the highest day 2 collection figures in Bollywood. In fact, in 2018, just two other Bollywood movies managed to earn more. There was Sanjay Dutt starrer Sanju with Rs 34.74 crore collection and Salman Khan starrer Race 3 with Rs 29.17 crore - on their day 1!
Nevertheless, the negative reviews from the audiences and film critics have taken a toll on Thugs of Hindostan collection on day 2. After raking in massive Rs 52.25 crore on opening day (Rs 50.75 cr in Hindi alone), the Bollywood multi-starrer film has managed to earn Rs 29.25 crore on day 2, taking its India collection to Rs 81.50 crore.
"#ThugsOfHindostan HINDI: Thu 50.75 cr, Fri 28.25 cr. Total: ? 79 cr. TAMIL + TELUGU: Thu 1.50 cr, Fri 1 cr. Total: ? 2.50 cr. Total: ? 81.50 cr [5000 screens] India biz. #TOH," tweeted film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

However, the Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif starrer is expected to sustain its numbers on Saturday and Sunday much in line with Friday's earning, revealed film critic and trade analyst Akshaye Rathi to ZeeBiz.Com.
In what will come as a big boost to Aamir Khan fans who will be hoping Thugs of Hindostan collection breaks all Bollywood records, Rathi had this big message to convey. He said that today is non-banking Saturday and Sunday tomorrow and the film's earning can well be expected somewhere between Thursday and Friday collection!
"The negative reviews have definitely affected the movie's collection. Having said that there are audiences that like to watch masala entertainers and they are coming to the cinemas in big numbers. This will help the movie sustain its earnings," said Rathi.
Taran Adarsh put the onus squarely on ToH to prove itself worthy of generating future records. He tweeted. "#ThugsOfHindostan has to show a positive upturn on Day 3 [today], else its sustainability from Day 5 [Mon] onwards will be extremely doubtful... One thing is crystal clear: #TOH has NOT met the monumental expectations... The BO numbers are doing the talking now".
