Thugs of Hindostan box office collection: Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif film to cross Rs 50 crore mark, break all Bollywood records?

Thugs of Hindostan box office collection: Aamir Khan is all set to rock the box office again and this time, he will be doing it along with Katrina Kaif and Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from Aamir, Katrina and Big B, the cast includes Fatima Sana Shaikh, Lloyd Owen, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Ila Arun. Thugs of Hindostan collection has already created a lot of hype as it has to beat the high marks set by certain other iconic films. Notably, the highest grossers in Bollywood are Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, which had a collection of Rs 510.99 cr and Aamir Khan's own movie Dangal, which had a collection of Rs 387.38 cr.   

Thugs of Hindostan is scheduled to be released on November 8 in India. There is a lot of expectations from this film, not least because Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are featured in it. What will work for Thugs of Hindostan collection is that no big rival release is happening around this time and the film may well do wonders at the box offices because of this fact - it may even do better than Aamir Khan's previous films!

Box Office Collecton: How Aamir Khan Movies Have Done

The last film featuring Aamir Khan was Secret Superstar which was released in 2017. The film did not do all that well at the box office, registering a lifetime collection of around Rs 65 crore. However, three of his films, Dangal (released in 2016), PK (released in 2014) and Dhoom 3 (released in 2013) have worked wonders for Aamir Khan. Dangal had earned around Rs 388 crore while the PK had earned Rs 340 crore. The Dhoom 3, however, did not make it to Rs 300 crore club, falling short by just Rs 15 crore at Rs 285 crore.

Nevertheless, Thugs of Hindostan collection may break old records to create many new ones for Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist. The star cast of the film has been promoting the movie tirelessly and has even tied up with the Google Maps to create a unique user experience. This enables an Android or IOS smartphone user to drive along with Firangi (Aamir Khan).

Thugs of Hindostan collection may well open grandly by earning Rs 50 crore on Day 1! This was claimed by film trade analyst Girish Johar in an interview that he gave to Pinkvilla.

Of course, the strongest push of them all will be the word of mouth boost. Aamir Khan has traditionally got it and this time will be no exception. Not just that, Aamir also manages to coax good ratings from movie critics too.

With the star casts like Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan onboard this ship, the Thugs of Hindostan collection may well sail past that mark to create new box office records.
