This is Delhi Traffic Police's unique plan for people who are not wearing helmets
The message also says that the helmet must conform to the ISI standards and should bear the ISI mark and they wish you a happy and safe journey.
Delhi Police has come up with some new ways to create awareness and to teach the rules of the roads to the people who avoid wearing a helmet. Wearing a helmet for two-wheeler drivers is a statutory requirement. But many avoid wearing it, but the Delhi traffic police have a new way to educate the drivers. In which the traffic police wears the helmet and show the mirror to the person who does not wear the helmet and shows a message saying that a mirror does not lie, My helmet is my protection, what about you.
The message also says that the helmet must conform to the ISI standards and should bear the ISI mark and they wish you a happy and safe journey.
Watch Delhi traffic police video:
We should know that helmet works as a shield for our head in case of a mishap and it is designed for individual safety and not as a cover to avoid legal prosecution.
For complete safety tie the strap properly otherwise the helmet may slip from your head in case of an accidental head injury.
People should also know that under section 129 MVA/177 MVA police fines Rs 500 for not wearing Helmet in Mumbai and Rs 100 in Delhi.
