Delhi Police arrest another suspect in airline bomb threat case

The Delhi Police have arrested another individual in connection with the bomb threat at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).
The arrest follows the receipt of two suspicious bomb threat messages via a social media account in the midnight hours of October 25/26.
In response, the police took immediate action and initiated an investigation. An FIR (833/24) was registered.
During the investigation, the source of the threat messages was traced to a social media account registered under the name Shubham Upadhyay, a resident of Uttam Nagar. Based on manual intelligence and technical surveillance, the 25-year-old suspect was apprehended in Rajapuri.
During questioning, Shubham admitted to sending the messages in an attempt to gain attention after watching similar news reports on television.
The police have reassured the public that all necessary security measures are in place and there is no cause for concern. They encourage citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
