Sensex, Nifty trade positive; Reliance Industries' touches a new high
The key Indian equity indices on Monday are trading higher in the morning session.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 161.21 points or 0.50% higher at 32,188.99. While the wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 36.90 points or 0.37% higher at 9,952.15.
The Sensex touched a high of 32,135.91 points and a low of 32,069.83 points in the trade so far.
Top gainers on BSE were - Reliance Industries at Rs 1,619.95 per piece up 2.13%, followed by ITC 293.90 per piece (1.87%), Wipro at Rs 291.20 per piece (1.62%), Hero Motocorp at Rs 3,723 per piece (1.18%), Infosys at Rs 990.65 per piece (1.10%) and State Bank of India at Rs 293.40 per piece (1.05%).
While losers involved Dr Reddy's Laboratories at Rs 2,704.35 per piece down 2.01%, Asian Paints at Rs 1,140.10 per piece (1.36%), ONGC at Rs 162.55 per piece (1.22%), Sun Pharma at Rs 572.55 per piece (0.70%) and Cipla at Rs 563.45 per piece (0.47%).
