RBI Grade B interviews deferred; to declare new dates on rbi.org.in in due course

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has deferred interviews for Grade B (DR) DEPR (BY 2019) that were scheduled to be held between 4 May and 7 May. The move comes as a "precautionary measure" amid the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that has forced a nationwide lockdown.
The RBI will inform the candidates about the schedule in due course of time, it said in a notification. "Candidates are advised to check regularly Bank’s website rbi.org.in for further details and updates,” it said.
The examination for this position was conducted in two phases in November and December via online mode. The banking regulator has conducted exams to fill 20 posts. The number of posts for General category candidates are 9, while for SC, ST, OBC and EWS the number of positions reserved are 3, 1, 5, and 2. Out of 20 vacancies for Grade ‘B’(DR)-DEPR, 1 vacancy is reserved for PwBD candidate under deaf and hard of hearing.
The PwBD candidates may belong to any category (i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC/EWSs). Reservation for PwBD is horizontal and within the overall vacancies for the posts subject to the posts having been identified suitable for such disabilities.
Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in the 'Creamy Layer' are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as 'General (GEN)’.
EWSs vacancies are tentative and subject to further directives of Government of India and outcome of any litigation. The appointment is provisional and is subject to the Income & Asset certificate being verified through proper channels”. Benefit of reservation under EWSs category can be availed upon production of an ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ issued by a Competent Authority on the format prescribed by Government of India.
