Alert! PM Narendra Modi to address the nation at 6 pm today

PM Narendra Modi has tweeted today that he will be addressing the nation in the evening. The tweet read, ”आज शाम 6 बजे राष्ट्र के नाम संदेश दूंगा। आप जरूर जुड़ें। Will be sharing a message with my fellow citizens at 6 PM this evening.” 

The public will be closely monitoring what PM Modi says and about what. Any news on how the economy will perform from here on will be keenly watched, especially with the festive season looming. Also, many industries will be looking forward to whether the government will announce any special benefits for any sector.  

There is a lot of speculation ahead of PM Modi’s speech today, some are expecting relief package announcements to boost the economy ahead of Diwali Festival. FM Nirmala Sitharaman has given hints in past few days that the Government won’t be reluctant to go for a stimulus package again to support some sectors within the country and to boost employment opportunities for the citizens.

There could be some announcement for farmers as the Agriculture sector is one of the most important sectors of the economy. Giving a boost to the Agri sector will in turn benefit many other sectors (Auto, FMCG, Banks, NBFCs) as well. Rural themes in many aspects have performed extremely well and going forward is expected to do even better. Many industries and companies within those industries are highly dependent on the rural sector to do well.

Furthermore, there could be some important announcement related to Coronavirus vaccine, to highlight how much time it may take for the Vaccine to develop and it has progressed till which phase till date. Also, there could be further ease in the lockdown measures or some tightening if required in special circumstances.

However, it is unlikely that PM Modi may further impose lockdown measures because the recovery rate has been much faster than many other developed countries even. 

PM Modi has addressed the nation a few times since the lockdown measures were announced in the month of March. Since then PM Modi has been updating the nation regarding Big Developments in the country.
