Love Aaj Kal box office collection day 4: Kartik Aaryan starrer collapses, witnesses drastic fall

Love Aaj Kal box office collection day 4: The Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Love Aaj Kal has collapsed at the box office, just on the fourth day of its released. The Imtiaz Ali starrer has failed to impress the critics and moviegoers alike, managing just Rs 2.75 crore on its first Monday. This is a drastic fall from its opening day collection. The film had a decent opening of Rs 12.40 crore on Friday.

However, the fall on Monday shouldn't come as a surprise. Love Aaj Kal's box office collection was reduced to Rs 8.01 crore on Saturday and Rs 8.10 crore on Sunday, a sharp decline from its first day collections. Movie critic, business analyst and influencer Taran Adarsh believes that the trend was evident from the opening weekend itself

Love Aaj Kal is a love story set in two time zones: 1990 and 2020. The film follows the same path as Imtiaz Ali's 2009 film of the same name. This is his eighth film as a director. Apart from Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan, Love Aaj Kal also stars Randeep Hooda and newcomer Aarushi Sharma.

The film is unlikely to pick up now with at two big films releasing on coming Friday - Bhoot and Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan.

With Bhoot, starring Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar's Dharma Production has gone dark with its first horro film. Meanwhile, Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar in the lead roles. It revolves around two young men who fall in love.
