Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 7 Voting Date and Timings: Phase 7 voting, covering as many as 57 Lok Sabha seats in eight states and UTs, began early on Saturday, June 1, amid tight security. Polling under the seventh and final phase, in a voting process that began on April 19, comes after the conclusion of voting in six out of seven phases of the Lok Sabha elections on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, and May 25.
Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 7 Voting Date and Timings: Voting under the seventh and final phase of a six-week-long polling exercise in the world's largest democracy commenced amid tight security arranagements in Bihar, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal on Saturday, June 1. Electors started casting their ballots for as many as 57 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across the eight states and Union Territories. Also on June 1, voting for the remaining 42 seats of the Odisha state assembly will take place simultaneously. All in all, June 1 will mark the end of the mega, seven-phase voting process kicked off by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on April 19. The seventh phase of polling under the 2024 general elections comes after the first six phases covered as many as 486 Lok Sabha seats in 28 states and Union Terrotires. Countring of votes of all the seven phases will take place on June 4.
Out of the 57 Lok Sabha seats, while 41 are reserved for the general category, 16 are kept for SC and ST categories, and out of the 42 Assembly seats, 27 are reserved for the general category and the remaining 15 for the SC and ST categories.
