The film continued to do well through the weekend. Dhadak earned Rs. 8.71 crore on the opening day, over Rs 11 crore on the second day and Rs 13.92 crore on the third.
These sums have have ensured that Dhadak collection inks a first in Bollywood for the year 2018 under the romcom category. This year so far no pure love story has seen such crowd. The movie has also done well in the overseas market, collecting over Rs. 9.09 crore. Dhadak is based on marathi movie Sairat which had received positive reviews from critics. However, Dhadak did not receive critical acclaim and that is hurting its collection.

The Shashank Khaitan's movie's collection may increase again over the weekend. The weekend collections will determine how the movie is received by the audience. The movie is expected to gross Rs 50 crore soon.
