Modi Government on 8th November 2016 had announced a discount on online gas booking to promote e-payment after demonetisation. Those who book gas cylinders online will be given a discount of up to Rs 5 on gas cylinders. The customers will be able to avail this benefit, but only if booking and paying online.

Non-subsidized LPG cylinder costs Rs 590

Meanwhile the best part about this offer is that this discount is not only valid on subsidized cylinders, but it is also applicable to non-subsidized cylinders.

According to Indian Oil, the price of a non-subsidized cylinder in Delhi is Rs 590. However, if you pay and book via online, then you will have to pay Rs 585 for a cylinder. At the time of booking, you can pay via net banking and credit card.

This step was taken by the government to promote cashless payments and there is a significant increase in number of people booking and paying online for LPG cylinders.
