7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Latest News: If you are aspiring to become a scientist, then there is some good news for you. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recruits scientists every year in Group A category. This is also known as Defence Research and Development Services (DRDS). The organisation has been providing opportunities in more than 50 research centers all across the country.  Online registration with regards to this has started.  

RAC, the Recruitment and Assessment Centre of DRDO undertakes various recruitment programmes to induct scientists each year in variety of scientific and engineering disciplines relevant to DRDO Laboratories. For details please visit RAC website at https://rac.gov.in

RAC is inviting online applications from graduate engineers and post graduates in Science including students who are appearing or have appeared in their final year examination through RAC website https://rac.gov.in for recruitment to the posts of Scientist `B’ in Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). 

The recruitment will be made in in Level-10 of the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Rs 56,100 in specified disciplines and categories, a DRDO advertisement available on its website says. Total emoluments (inclusive of HRA and all other allowances) at the time of joining will be approximately Rs 80,000 at the present metro city rate.

1. Scientist B - Level 10- Rs 56,100/- 
2. Scientist C - Level 11 - Rs 67,700/- 
3. Scientist D - Level 12 - Rs 78,800/- 
4. Scientist E - Level 13 - Rs 123,100/- 
5. Scientist F - Level 13A - Rs 131,100/- 
6. Scientist G - Level 14 - Rs 144,200/- 
7. Scientist H (Outstanding Scientist) - Level 15 - Rs 182,200/- 
8. Distinguished Scientist (DS) - Level 16 - Rs 205,400/- 
9. Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Chairman, DRDO - Level 17- Rs 225,000/-
