7th Pay Commission Latest News: National Water Informatics Centre (NWIC) is inviting applications for various sarkari jobs at a very senior level. The applications have been invited for filling Filling up of 2 posts of Joint Director, 3 posts of Deputy Director and 4 posts of Assistant Director. The total number of posts advertised for all the categories are 9.

The NWIC is a newly constituted Subordinate Office of the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti mandated to act as a repository of nation-wide water resources data and to provide a single window source of updated data on water resources and allied themes.

Payscale as per the 7th Pay Commission (7th CPC):

-- Joint Director in level-12, Payscale Rs 78800–Rs 209200
-- Deputy Director in level-11, Payscale Rs 67700–Rs 208700
-- Assistant Director in level 10, Payscale 56100-177500

Eligibility criteria

The candidates for each post should be should be officers of the Central or state government or of Union Territories, autonomous or statutory organizations or Public Sector Undertakings/Universities or recognized research institutions can apply.

-- Possessing experience in the field of investigation or planning or design or execution, operation and maintenance of water resources subjects or ground water or in the field of Geo-informatics systems or Data Management or Administration. The experience should be of 7,5 and 3 years respectively.

-- The maximum age limit for appointment shall not exceed 56 years on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Educational qualification for all the three posts is as under:

-- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in the field of Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics or Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or institute

or

-- Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Hydrology or Geoinformatics or Computer Applications from a recognized university or institute with Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized university or institute.
